Do Something

My lonely blog and advocacy won’t change anything. But if many of us start grilling our incumbent politicians and potential candidates on these issues, we can start a movement for change. We need to break the political machine in Maryland. Passivity will not achieve this goal, we need to get vocal and organized.

In Maryland, the next real opportunity for change is the 2018 election cycle. My hope is that these good governance issues—getting rid of slates, “sample ballots,” and gerrymandering—will become prominent in the 2018 election. In fact, I hope there will be a number of reform-minded candidates running for different offices all across Maryland, pushing for real elections and real change.

If you are interested in joining this fight—as an advocate or maybe even as a candidate—please contact me at tommi at realelectionsmd.com.
